Between Fear and Reality: Jacob Sieger's Paranormal Experience

Between Fear and Reality: Jacob Sieger's Paranormal Experience

This conversation follows Jacob Seeger as he recounts a disturbing chapter of addiction, isolation, and a series of experiences he believes crossed into the paranormal. What starts as strange noises in a duplex in Yakima, Washington, turns into a deeper story about fear, mental collapse, and a moment he says changed everything.

Jacob describes living with his father while both were struggling with substance use, and how unexplained pounding, scratching, and frantic behavior from his dog made the house feel increasingly unsafe. He also shares how his younger brother later had a severe mental health crisis while living in the same room, adding to the sense that something in the home was deeply wrong.

The most intense part of the episode centers on a night when Jacob says he was ready to end his life. In that moment, he says he asked God to reveal himself and had an overwhelming spiritual experience that he describes as the most powerful feeling he has ever known. The discussion also touches on Ouija boards, opening “doors,” and why some experiences are remembered as paranormal while also overlapping with psychosis and addiction.

Jacob’s story blends paranormal fear with addiction and mental health, making it a raw and unsettling listen. Whether you approach it as a supernatural account, a survival story, or both, the episode raises difficult questions about what happens when trauma, substance use, and unexplained experiences collide.

If this conversation resonates with you, it may be worth sitting with the larger themes: how people make meaning out of chaos, how crisis can reshape belief, and how a single night can alter the course of a life.

[00:00:02] - [Speaker 0]
Alright.

[00:00:08] - [Speaker 1]
Before we move on, a quick note. The next segment contains intense themes including addiction, mental health struggle, and reference to self harm, but most importantly, the paranormal. And if that's not something you're in a place to hear right now, consider stepping away and coming back. This is a different kind of story. Jacob Seeger isn't just talking about prison or rebuilding his life.

[00:00:36] - [Speaker 1]
He is about to share something more personal, more difficult to explain. It's a moment he says crossed into the paranormal. At a time when addiction, isolation, mental health is all colliding. He's gonna describe what he experienced, what he felt in that moment, and how close he believes he came to an edge. We're not here to validate or dismiss it.

[00:00:59] - [Speaker 1]
We're here to let him tell his story exactly as it happened. This is a special feature. Listener discretion is advised. Alright, Jacob. Let's keep going.

[00:01:11] - [Speaker 1]
So we're sitting here off the air. You have a story that you are sharing. I want you to just go back. Kick it off. Tell us from the beginning where this starts.

[00:01:24] - [Speaker 0]
Okay. So it's Yakima Washington, I was living with my dad, we're living in a duplex together, and I myself have never experienced anything paranormal in my life. You know, I've seen movies and shows, but so me and my dad, my dad's an alcoholic, heavy alcoholic, I myself was using heroin, cocaine, you know, Xanax, and drinking

[00:01:42] - [Speaker 1]
Mhmm.

[00:01:43] - [Speaker 0]
Every day. So we're in this house and at the time, you know, I didn't know addiction fed this energy, you know, I learned this later after researching what I experienced in that house, but there's a little duplex, no tenants in the other building that's connected to the duplex. So we just moved in here and it was in 1617 Lannon Ave, which I've written two letters in the last twelve years too, asking if they're still experiencing any of this behavior in the house, I never heard anything back. Nothing back. I wrote two letters in the last twelve years, and it was Apartment B, or Building B, 70 In Landon Ave, we were living in there and we would be sitting watching TV in the in the living room and and this pounding pounding would would very very loud pounding out of nowhere.

[00:02:28] - [Speaker 0]
Boom boom boom. I mean, you'd think the fucking ceiling was gonna cave in, there was no upstairs by the way, you know. And I'd get up immediately and I'd approach it, I'd like, what do you want? Who are you? My dad would get scared, he'd be like, Jacob, stop.

[00:02:41] - [Speaker 0]
Jacob, stop, it's nothing, it's gonna go away. I'd get up and start yelling at it, whatever it was. And my dog, I had a little yellow lab, right, Lily? Loved her to death. She would freak out, she would fucking freak out on it.

[00:02:53] - [Speaker 0]
She'd start barking at the ceiling, it was always in the ceiling. Mhmm. See, they can see things like that. Yeah. She would always crouch down on the on the floor and start barking at the ceiling Mhmm.

[00:03:02] - [Speaker 0]
While every hair on her body's sticking up, you know? Mhmm. She didn't like that. And so, this pounding started happening, scratching on windows, scratching.

[00:03:10] - [Speaker 1]
Mhmm. Terrifying.

[00:03:11] - [Speaker 0]
And I I mean, obviously, no one's there, I know what I know it was demonic, you know, I knew it was paranormal, so

[00:03:18] - [Speaker 1]
Yeah.

[00:03:18] - [Speaker 0]
I I ever since then I was infatuated with the paranormal and I started learning about it and researching every reading everything I can about it. And yeah, the addiction is what they feed off, they feed off violence, of course, any ritual, where you're opening those doors, Ouija boards, you know.

[00:03:31] - [Speaker 1]
Sure.

[00:03:31] - [Speaker 0]
And I think somebody opened up a door in that house before we moved in, I don't think it was us. Well, my brother moves in, about a year year later I'm out of the house, I have my own place and my brother's living in the room I was living in. He lost his mind, he went full schizophrenic, you know, the man the kid was like 18, 19 at this time, just got done with high school. All he does is play on his Xbox all day. Mhmm.

[00:03:51] - [Speaker 0]
And he lost his mind completely, he went full blown schizophrenic, which is demonic, 100%. Right. And he's talking to people and entities that aren't there, you know, having full blown conversations with entities that don't exist

[00:04:02] - [Speaker 1]
He witnessed it.

[00:04:03] - [Speaker 0]
That we can't see. Yeah. And he just lost his fucking mind. Wow. Which is, I mean, it was scary what happened to him.

[00:04:11] - [Speaker 0]
And he's now doing great, by the way. Good. He's now

[00:04:14] - [Speaker 1]
doing great.

[00:04:14] - [Speaker 0]
He doesn't and if I ever try to talk to him, I myself am the only one who can even bring it up with him. If my if anyone else tries to bring that those times up, he he he just avoids it, he just he won't do that.

[00:04:23] - [Speaker 1]
He doesn't wanna do it.

[00:04:24] - [Speaker 0]
I mean, he'll he'll he tells he he says he doesn't he doesn't experience any of those things anymore, I don't think he does.

[00:04:31] - [Speaker 1]
Was it hard to watch?

[00:04:32] - [Speaker 0]
Very, very disturbing. Very disturbing. He lost his mind in that house. Full blown And then you'd see doors open. Mhmm.

[00:04:39] - [Speaker 0]
You'd see doors just go

[00:04:41] - [Speaker 1]
You mentioned there was a point that you were kind of at an end.

[00:04:47] - [Speaker 0]
Oh, I get chills just thinking about it. So, yeah. This house so one night, I was gonna take my life. I've never contemplated suicide in my life. So I'm laying in my bed, it's about, I don't know, 01:00, 02:00.

[00:04:58] - [Speaker 0]
I just got in from Seattle that night and I'm by myself, I'm in the bedroom, my dad would think he was sleeping in another room. And was gonna I was gonna kill myself. I was I was little I was done.

[00:05:07] - [Speaker 1]
Mhmm.

[00:05:07] - [Speaker 0]
I did not wanna be here.

[00:05:08] - [Speaker 1]
You had a gun?

[00:05:09] - [Speaker 0]
Yeah. Oh, absolutely. Wow. So I'm I'm I'm really contemplating taking my life. It's like it's most people talk about suicide, but they're just talking.

[00:05:18] - [Speaker 0]
Yeah. Like I'm really gonna take my life. Yeah. Yeah. So I start crying out to God, like I'm literally I verbally ask God, like, you're here, you gotta please show me.

[00:05:26] - [Speaker 0]
Yeah. Because I'm done. I don't wanna be here. If there's nothing more, I'm done. I'm gone.

[00:05:29] - [Speaker 0]
Yeah. And I have my hands up, and the greatest experience I've ever, by far, ever experienced in my life, the greatest high, better than any orgasm, better than any high. Mhmm. I went into a trance, I had my hands up in the in the in in the air and I'm asking God to reveal himself and at that moment, yeah, he definitely revealed himself. I started crying and laughing at the same time.

[00:05:58] - [Speaker 0]
I words can't express how how good how good it was.

[00:06:02] - [Speaker 1]
Yeah. To finally kind of cut that.

[00:06:04] - [Speaker 0]
To know that God is real. Yeah. Whatever showed me that night, that experience, is way more to life than you think.

[00:06:10] - [Speaker 1]
Yeah. What do you think of Ouija boards?

[00:06:12] - [Speaker 0]
Oh, I know. They're just they're just doors. They're just they're just ways of communicating with them.

[00:06:17] - [Speaker 1]
Ever used one? Never. Would you?

[00:06:19] - [Speaker 0]
Yeah, absolutely. Now that I know a little about them. Yeah. But there's see, there's rules to Ouija boards too, you know. A lot of people open up doors and they don't know what they're doing.

[00:06:28] - [Speaker 1]
Right. Right. Right. You know, I've I've asked myself if I think that I could. I don't think that I could.

[00:06:35] - [Speaker 1]
I think I would be too much of a pussy to do that. But I think I could absolutely watch you, Heather, maybe do one, a Ouija board. You ever ever ever done one?

[00:06:46] - [Speaker 0]
I never have. And I'm not sure if I if I would wanna open that door. Yeah. Yeah. You gotta be careful.

[00:06:51] - [Speaker 0]
Yeah.

[00:06:56] - [Speaker 1]
No. For for sure. And, you know, and that's just that's really intense because I know that you mentioned, you know, there are, shows out there that do focus specifically on the paranormal. But, something I wanna plug for the open mic show is we are looking to talk to guests that have had those experiences, not just, you know, Ouija boards, but, demonic episodes. And, we we want that unusual mysterious, physique of of fucking psychosis and and how it all plugs in together.
